Bitcoinke: BitPesa Founder Appointed Co-Chair of Global Blockchain Council by WEF

Elizabeth Rossiello, CEO of BitPesa, has been appointed co-chair of the Global Blockchain Council by the World Economic Forum (WEF) during the WEF Annual Meeting 2019 in Davos, Switzerland. Rossiello will work with 30 global industry experts, including regulatory agency heads and CEOs. Sheila Warren, Head of Blockchain at the WEF, cited Rossiello’s diverse background and ability to unify the fragmented blockchain ecosystem as reasons for her appointment. The WEF council, established in 2017, aims to shape global policy and corporate governance in cybersecurity and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Read it here.
