The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) has extended $15 million in funding to AZA, formerly known as BitPesa. This funding will improve liquidity and support AZA’s global expansion. AZA, now the parent company to BitPesa, BFX, and TransferZero, will offer various financial services, including cryptocurrency liquidity and exchange, SME payments, and business remittances. AZA’s headquarters remain in Nairobi, with regional offices in Lagos, London, Luxembourg, Dakar, and Madrid, and operations in multiple African countries. Read it here.
