What it means to be an Africa-first b2b fintech

For the past ten years, we’ve been laser-focused on helping businesses across the continent create Africa’s trillion-dollar growth.

By building financial infrastructure and more connections between Africa and G20 currencies, we connected fintechs, businesses, banks, telcos, and NGOs across Africa with their counterparts in Europe, Latin America, North America, Asia, and beyond.

As these enterprises and organisations grew across the continent, we grew as well.

We expanded our service offerings to include treasury, collections, and even more payment options; we opened more offices; and along the way, we updated our brand every so often to reflect our growing footprint. Through it all, we remained steadfast about our mission to build the financial rails for and across Africa.

Today, the global financial infrastructure we’ve built – the “rails” – seamlessly connect Africa’s economies to the rest of the world. These connections are what make it possible for African and international businesses, fintechs, NGOs, telcos and even banks to expand their customer base and establish robust operations across the continent.  Over the past few years, we’ve been especially focused on connecting more geographies to Africa. During that time, we updated our brand to showcase our versatility across multiple continents.

After celebrating our ten-year anniversary in 2023, we considered carefully where our focus should be for the next decade. We knew that our greatest strength remained our deep understanding of African markets. Our “on the ground” intelligence, coupled with our commitment to expanding in the right way with licences, partners, and banks, is what allows us to build better products that serve Africans and African businesses.  This approach has helped us move more than $9 billion in funds for more than 26,000 customers to date. While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, we are far more focused on our plans to launch new African markets, currency pairs, and products for our customers this year.

And with that focus in mind, you will notice a small change to our website and online platforms starting today. We wanted our brand to showcase our decade of service as Africa’s b2b fintech, and we did so by re-integrating elements of our original brand into our more recent frontier-market fintech positioning.

If you are one of the thousands of African or multinational businesses using AZA Finance for payments, treasury, collections, or currency exchange – nothing will change in your customer experience, aside from a few minor design upgrades in our web platform.

When you engage with our sales or customer services team on email or WhatsApp, you will notice they will be using our updated logo, but no other changes should be expected.

If you are at all concerned about whether you are communicating with a legitimate AZA Finance representative, you can reach out anytime to your account manager or to us directly at [email protected].

We look forward to another decade of helping more enterprises expand across Africa from Latin America, Asia, Europe, and North America.
